Native American Environmental has developed the following training courses in accordance with the OSHA, EPA, DOT, and DOD rules and regulations.

OSHA 8-Hour Refresher for Military Munitions Response (MMR)


This course is in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 as it pertains to MMR projects.  Plus this course covers the MMR process, UXO and general safety review, transporting MEC, and detection technologies.

Hazardous Waste Site Safety: 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher

Workers trained in hazardous waste operations are required to attend a yearly refresher course as mandated by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120.  Using case studies, group activities, and hands-on practice, this course will increase and refresh your knowledge of hazardous waste operations and emergency responses.  8 Hours

General Hazardous Waste Operations
(HAZWOPER)


This course is designed for personnel involved with the investigation and remediation of uncontrolled hazardous waste sites and, to a lesser extent, response to an accident involving hazardous materials.  It provides basic information needed to meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120 (e)(3)(i)(Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response).  40 Hours

Hazardous Waste Management


This course covers OSHA's general industry standards and integrates materials from other consensus and proprietary standards that relate to hazardous materials, including flammable and combustible liquids, compressed gases, LP-Gas, cryogenic liquids, anhydrous ammonia and explosives.  Processes such as welding, spraying and dipping are covered, as well as electrical equipment, ventilation, and fire protection.  24 Hours

Bomb Threat Management

This course provides a basis for the understanding of why bombs are popular weapons of terrorists including how to recognize improvised explosive devices and the correct response when a device is discovered.  The course outlines the logical search sequence and the skills required to conduct a detailed building and room search.

Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General/Construction Industry

10 or 30 Hour Voluntary Compliance Courses.
These courses are designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSH Act may be implemented in the workplace.  Rights and responsibilities under the OSH Act, the appeals process, and record keeping are covered.  OSHA's general/construction industry standards and an overview of the requirements of the most frequently referenced standards will also be addressed.  10 or 30 Hours

Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics

This course focuses on OSHA standards and on the safety aspects of excavation and trenching.  Students are introduced to practical soil mechanics and its relationship to the stability of shored and unshored slopes and walls of excavations.  Various types of shoring (wood timbers and hydraulic) are covered.  4 Hours

Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) for Military Munitions Response (MMR) Operations

Supervisor Course

This course will provide supervisors and managers with the necessary skills to facilitate the day-to-day activities involving employee safety performance.  This course stresses supervisory behavior needed in managing a departmental safety effort.  Students will participate in an assessment to help determine how their styles may influence the success and/or failure of a safety program.  Activities will help transfer practical skills and knowledge from the classroom to the workplace.  8 Hours

First Aid and CPR training

Includes adult CPR and choking, bleeding, control bandaging, splinting, trauma & medical emergencies (concentrating on specifics for your facility), shock, burn care, safety, accessing 9-1-1.  Also includes introduction to AEDs.  Trains the first aid provider what to do until EMS arrives.  For the layperson who may be required to have first aid for their employment, mandated by state or federal law, or who would like to learn a lifesaving skill.  This course is nationally accepted and meets OSHA requirements.  4 Hours

Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Training

The Government has established the HazCom Standard known as the "right to know" law.  It's purpose is to protect workers who are exposed to hazardous chemicals in all industrial sectors.  This standard is based on the concept that employees need and have a right to know the hazards and identities of chemicals that they are exposed to in the workplace.  This course is designed to assist both employers and employees in learning about workplace hazards and how to protect themselves from hazardous exposure.  4-8 Hours, depending upon nature of operations.

Confined Space Entry

This training program addresses the major areas of employee training required by the regulation.  This program was created specifically for OSHA's Permit Required Confined Space Regulation (29 CFR Part 1910.146).  Because of OSHA's broad definition of "Confined Space," this program will be useful to a number of different types of facilities, including manufacturers, utilities, petroleum and chemical industries, hospitals, and many others.  The program includes information on contents of the standard, responsibilities of the employer, entry supervisors, attendants and entrants, identifying permit spaces, types of hazards that can be encountered, safety equipment, dealing with emergencies and rescue teams, and more.
